Yesterday was a special day. My friends and I spent the day in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Even though I live relatively close, the last time I actually spent time here was 9 years ago.
This trip was especially interesting because my father told me about the John Clymer studio and his connection to it. For those who don’t know, John Clymer was a very prominent painter in the western art scene. He illustrated for magazines like the Saturday Evening Post and Field and Stream. Clymer spent a lot of time in the Jackson area so the museum has re-created his studio and hanging above the threshold of the studio is the bighorn sheep skull my father gave to clymer when he was still alive.
